Can animals be aware of their emotions and surroundings? This research and art project challenges human-centered perspectives by combining historical analysis, public perception surveys, professional interviews, and firsthand observation of sea lions.
Through watercolor illustrations and interactive design, the project invites viewers to look beyond animal performances and recognize them as individuals with agency, emotion, and subjectivity.
